The Ford Model A (1927–1931) was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a previous model had used the Model A name back in 1903–1904) was designated as a 1927 model and was available in four standard colors, but not black.
The Model A was produced through 1931. Its successor was the Model B, which featured an updated 4-cylinder engine, followed by the Model 18 which introduced Ford's new V8 engine

This Car originated new in Idaho. It was driven very little until 1951 +/- It was parked in a farm building shop and was covered for about 35 years (1986) when the farm was liquidated and foreclosed on. Mr. Joe Caputo an antique car collector and dealer bought this car and took it to Chittenango, N.Y. The original mileage at the time was 31,500 miles. It was easy to get running and he did some minor work. IE: rechromed bumpers, blended some paint on fenders, etc. However the odometer was frozen, so he kept a log on miles driven. The interior was original and in good enough condition that it was not touched. It is that way today, original 1941 interior. The trunk is all original with the original “Ford” Spare Tire. The motor is the original motor and has not even been cleaned or rebuilt. The outside paint as you see it is about 70% the original 1941 factory paint. In 1998 this car was traded to one Daniel J. Kelsey of Auburn, N.Y. At this time the log showed about 44,500 miles driven. Mr. Kelsey had a new odometer installed with a zero reading. He also added vintage aftermarket turn signals to the vehicle. In 2003, Mr. Kelsey became very ill and asked Joe Caputo to take the car back and sell it for him. He advertised it on the internet and on September 10th, 2003, it was purchased by, Theodore C. (Ted) Parker, Jr. of Millsboro, Delaware. The odometer now reads 02755 as of 10/30/08 making the actual mileage on car and motor approximately 48,000 miles. As it is about as original as can be, I plan on leaving it that way. A few minor acceptable upgrades have been done. Such as; radiator and hoses , rebuilt starter and generator, repair exhaust manifolds and new muffler, and a tune up. all parts are original ford parts. Amazingly everything works on this car, even the wind up clock on the dash. It stands appraised in it’s current condition as a #3 driver. Before this sale, Mr. Caputo had all new brakes installed, a new front floor mat, and 4 new wide whitewall tires and a complete maintenance done.

The “Flop down’ back seats are what makes this an “Opera Coupe”.
Ford had a limited production of about 10,500 of these cars in 1941.
For Sale is a lovely 1941 Lincoln 2 door. The exterior is a lovely deep burgundy with matching interior. Factory Bench seats done to match with a curduroy patterned insets for a lovely contrast. 3 Speed Manual transmission located on the column, Factory V12, Factory 6 volt system, drum brakes all around, white wall tires, continental kit, original radio, head liner intact and clean, miles reading 79026.
The first Lincoln Continental was developed as Edsel Ford's one-off personal vehicle, though it is believed he planned all along to put the model into production if successful. In 1938, he commissioned a custom design from the chief stylist, Eugene T. "Bob" Gregorie, ready for Edsel's March 1939 vacation. The design, allegedly sketched out in an hour by Gregorie working from the Lincoln Zephyr blueprints and making changes, was an elegant convertible with a long hood covering the Lincoln V12 and long front fenders, and a short trunk with what became the Continental series' trademark, the externally-mounted covered spare tire.
The car could be considered a channeled and sectioned Zephyr that did not even have the bulge that in the Zephyr (and in some other cars) replaced the running-board at the bottom of the doors. This decrease in height meant that the height of the hood was much closer to that of the fenders. There was hardly any trim on it at all, making its lines superb. This car is often rated as one of the most beautiful in the world.
The custom car for the boss was duly produced on time, and Edsel had it delivered to Florida for his spring vacation. Interest from well-off friends was high, and Edsel sent a telegram back that he could sell a thousand of them. Lincoln craftsmen immediately began production on the Continental convertible, and even a rare few hardtop models. They were extensively hand-built; the two dozen 1939 models and 400 1940-built examples even had hand-hammered body panels, since dies for machine-pressing were not constructed until 1941.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Continental production was suspended, to be re-started in 1946 to 1948. Like the other post-war Lincolns, however, the Continental had similar bits of trim added to make it look improved. The 1939–1948 Continental is recognized as a "Full Classic" by the Classic Car Club of America, one of the last-built cars to be so recognized.
The 1939 Continental is commonly called a '1940 Continental.'

For the 1963 model year Cadillac updated their V8 engine, modernizing the tooling used in the production line while optimizing the engine's design. Although it shared the same layout and architecture with the 1949-vintage engine, the revised engine had shorter connecting rods and was 1 in (25.4 mm) lower, 4 in (101.6 mm) narrower, and 1.25 in (31.8 mm) shorter. The accessories (water pump, power steering pump, distributor) mounted on a die-castaluminum housing at the front of the engine for improved accessibility. An alternator replaced the former generator. The crankshaft was cored out to make it both lighter and stronger. The revised engine was 52 lb (24 kg) lighter than its predecessor, for a total dry weight of 595 lb (270 kg).

For 1963 the revised engine shared the same 4.00 in (101.6 mm) bore and 3.875 in (98.4 mm) stroke of its predecessor, for an unchanged displacement of 390 cu in (6.4 L). Power was unchanged at 325 hp (242 kW), as was torque at 430 lb·ft (583 N·m).

1964 Lincoln Continental 4 Door Suicide Convertible-
The car was stretched 3 inches (76 mm) in 1964 to give more rear-seat legroom, and the roofline was squared off at the same time. The dash was also redesigned, doing away with the pod concept. Side glass was now flat to provide more interior room. The gas tank access door, which had been concealed at the rear of the car in the rear grille, was now placed on the driver's side rear quarter panel. The exterior "Continental" script was changed and the rear grille replaced by a simple horizontally elongated Continental star on the rear deck lid.

In 1973, the Javelin was updated slightly. Most noticeable changes were to the taillights and grille, though the AMX grille remained the same. All other AMC models used "recoverable" bumpers with telescoping shock absorbers; however, the Javelin and AMX came with a non-dynamic design with two rigid rubber guards. A further invisible change came with new standards mandating stronger doors capable of withstanding 2,500 pounds of impact for the first 6 inches of crush. Odometer Reads: 67,623

Previous owner replaced all rubber bushings and parts that were worn, new engine and transmission mounts, tune up, fluids, etc. They also put early 1970s BMW "turbine" alloy wheels on, added a desired passenger mirror, upgraded the interior rear view mirror to a larger size, and just put on period fog lamps.
Gears and clutch are fine. Engine runs strong, and zips about as it should. Suspension is tight and the car corners great.
Previous owner kept the car in good, daily driver condition, and also re-routed the gas line so it doesn't have the BMW 2002 "gas fumes in the trunk" smell.
These cars are known for having rust issues, but mine is free of rust in the trouble areas. No rust in the wheel arches, under doors, floors, or shock towers.
The original color was BMW Malaga, a rust/maroon non-metallic. Previous owner had it painted back to a BMW Calypso Rot (Red) that is similar to Malaga, but metallic.
This is a driver's car, and the steering is tight and sporty.

The Bricklin SV-1 was a gull-wing doorsports car assembled in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The body panels were manufactured in a separate plant in Minto, New Brunswick. Manufactured from 1974 until early 1976 for the U.S. market, the car was the creation of Malcolm Bricklin, an American millionaire who had previously founded Subaruof America. The car was designed by Herb Grasse. Due to Bricklin's lack of experience in the auto industry, coupled with the funding problems, the Bricklin factory was not able to produce vehicles fast enough to make a profit. As a result, only 2854 cars were built before the company went into receivership, owing the New Brunswick government $23 million.
The model name (SV-1), stood for "safety vehicle one". The original idea for the Bricklin SV-1 was a safe and economical sports car, but due to the added weight of the safety features, the car was inefficient and simply a safe sports car. The Bricklin was designed for safety with an integrated roll cage, 5 mph bumpers, and side beams. The body wasfibreglass with bonded acrylic in five "safety" colours: white, red, green, orange and suntan. The cars had no cigarette lighter or ashtray.[3] Non-smoker Malcolm Bricklin believed it was unsafe to smoke and drive. The Bricklin is the only production vehicle in automotive history to have powered gull-wing doors, that opened and closed at the touch of a button, as standard equipment.

The 1976 BMW 2002 was powered by an overhead-cam four-cylinder engine that displaced 121.3 cubic-inches and offered nearly 100 horsepower. The 2-door sedan came equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox and disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. A three-speed automatic was available as optional equipment. An independent suspension setup was placed in both the front and rear.
The BMW 2002 was the company's most popular model in the United States for 1976. Changes were few and consisted of dual hemispherical combustion chambers in the engine and the elimination of the catalytic converter.

A revised grille with the Monte Carlo "Knight's Crest" emblem moved to a stand-up hood ornament and revised taillight lenses marked the 1977 Monte Carlo, which was the last year for the 1973-vintage design before the introduction of a downsized 1978 Monte Carlo. Engine offerings were similar to 1976 with the Turbo Hydra-matic transmission included standard equipment. The 400 cubic inch V8 was dropped as an engine option.
Interior trim received only minor revisions this year with upholstery choices including cloth, velour and vinyl in both base and Custom trims.
This model year marks the only time in history when an intermediate model was larger in every dimension than a full-sized model, as the B-body Chevrolet Caprice/Impala had already been redesigned and downsized for 1977.

1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ 2 door 1 owner car, with ONLY 7 miles. original window sticker still on the car!
Revised grille work with fewer vertical bars, a stand-up hood ornament and revised taillight lenses with "GP" logos highlighted the 1977 Grand Prix, which was the final year for the 1973-vintage bodyshell which was set to be replaced by a downsized GP for 1978. The same three models (J, LJ and SJ) were carried over with engine revisions. The base Model J got Pontiac's new 135 hp (101 kW) 301 CID V8 as standard equipment, which was a bit too small and underpowered to propel a 4,000-pound car. Optional engines included a 160 hp (119 kW) 350 CID V8 or 180 hp (134 kW) 400 CID V8; those two engines standard on the LJ and SJ models, respectively.
Each of those engines were Pontiac-built units as in previous years, but offered in 49 of the 50 states. Due to the fact that Pontiac own V8 engines could not meet the more stringent California emission standards set for 1977, all Grand Prixs (and other Pontiac models) sold in California were powered by Oldsmobile-built engines including Lansing 350 CID Rocket V8 for J and LJ, and the 403 CID Rocket V8 standard on the SJ and optional on the other two GPs in California. Due to a shortage of Olds 350 engines resulting from record sales of Cutlasses and reduced production of that engine due to a plant conversion to build a Diesel V8 beginning in 1978, a few 77 Grand Prix destined for California reportedly came off the line with a Chevrolet-built 350 CID V8.

Clenet produced 182 Series II automobiles from late 1979 - 1982 and then continued at Carpinteria 1984 - 1986. It is not clear if any of the Carpinteria cars were new production or just construction of parts left from the original Coachworks. Most sources agree that Carpinteria cars begin with number #175 where the last cars, #181 and #182 were not completely assembled. A telltale sign of where the car was built is that the original Coachworks cars have a plaque xxx/250 whereas the Carpinteria cars have xxx/500.
